Peak Oil and Peak People will both occur in 2037. A friend is an oil producer. They drilled a well from dry land to kilometres out to sea which would normally have required a very expensive sea platform. Spindletop type finds are rare these days. But plenty of oil is still being brought on-stream. At $100 a barrel you can be sure that a LOT more will be too. As well as alternatives of a million types, from walking and insulation, living closer to work and using cyberspace instead of 3D travel to LPG, photovoltaics and methanol, more oil wells will be drilled. Saudis know that $100 is over the top and they should cash in while they can. Mqurice
