I just realized that I am 41--not the 42 I had put on
my profile. What a treat to find a whole year I'd lost, ha!

affx off 25% to ~$12 after hours, down to about an $835m
marketcap, ilmn has a 4.25B marketcap

I'd briefly thought about buying some, glad I didn't

--I never did venture outside the short list of microcap
biotechs off my familiar list, but all my stuff is very
thinly traded, none of my stocks did much volume today.
Not that I am trying to daytrade anyway. I have six small
positions--and they seem to all cancel each other out.
Three will be down a couple percent, the others up--today
was almost a perfect cancelling out day.

My coworker friend and I occasionally check mlnm, always said
we should swingtrade that--so seeing the 50% gain the other
day was gutwrenching. Of course we might have traded it for
a couple bucks a share and then missed the big day--that
would be even worse than never having touched it.

Anyway, back to affx--look at this breathtaking comparison

but the best chart is this one

Can you imagine holding on to ILMN that whole time, never
getting shook out, letting it ride? Fantastic if you could
do it.
