Your statement about this being an attack or let's call it a rebellion against their boomer parents is perceptive.

Young adults often rebel against the parents who raised them. Ironically, they are the offspring of those parents and sometimes, not always, revert to the perceptions of their parents as they age, although they will not willingly admit to doing so.

The economic program is appearing more and more as hard left class warfare with a marxist tinge very unlike what obamas economic advisors seem to be for.

If by Marxist, you mean restoring the tax cuts that Bush so generously handed it out, then you know little about Marx. Marx would never have been so stupid to cut taxes going into a war and never justified them by claiming they would cause an economic boom. We are learning the hard way the folly in both actions and assertions.

Obama is no more Marxist than he is Chinese. As a student of political systems, I get so tired of the misuse of many political terms and the overuse of terms that are intended to scare the American public like Marxism, communism and socialism.

Actually, I think you have it exactly wrong. Obamamania has very successfully been a co-opting of their parents. I've read article after article, heard endorsement after endorsement, and even have my own experience that all point to the same thing: the youth vote is convincing their parents to vote for Obama. That is a maxing out on the tent. I think you are just sour grapes at this point and are looking for bad news where very little exists. All of this will become more apparent when the dust settles and Obama is President and new large majorities of Dems exist in both houses of Congress.

As far as Hillary being closer to the center than Obama, you are right. However, this election isn't about left or right or center. It's about a fundamental change in direction. Obama voters are voting for him only in part because of his policy views. Many are voting for him because he represents something not seen in decades in this country. A truly special person who can lift everyone up and bring people together. I only agree with Obama on about 50% of his policy views, but his character is what really drove me to throw my weight behind him.

As far as the general election, I think you are wrong their too. It's only a toss-up as seen from the perspective of the unfinished Dem Nomination race. When Obama becomes the nominee, McCain will be toast. If you want to get a clue as to how this race will run, go to the following website and take all the states where Obama and Clinton win and compare them to those where McCain will win. It's not a pretty picture for McCain. Check the site out:

Check this out. Go to this site to see where McCain or Obama will win:
electoral-vote.com

Then go to this site to plug in those results: americanresearchgroup.com

I did that and found the following electoral vote split:
Obama = 270
McCain = 268

But there were a number of states, including Texas where Obama is within 5% points. I believe that Obama will out-campaign McCain in those states and win the majority of the toss-up states, which will put his margin of victory, much higher.

If I give him all the toss up states (Tx, SC, MI, NH), then the results would be:
Obama = 333
McCain = 205

So the real answer lies somewhere in between Obama winning 270 electoral votes to Obama winning 333. So if we split the difference, then he gets somewhere around 300. I think we're going to see the first landslide election since Reagan. Obama will cleanly win the number of states, the popular vote, and the electoral vote.

General Election day and the days after will be sweet indeed.
