What was the term we used to study in statistics class, "reversion to the mean".

I'd put money down to bet his era is heading higher.

Had some guy on tv saying "streaks" are just that. Statistical probabilities, like a basketball player hitting 5 baskets in a row.

I don't quite agree. I've played bball all my life and warming up the other day hit 11 threes in a row. I know for a fact I'll never do that again. In fact , I quit after 11 shots. I thought, what the heck. I'm due to miss, and I've never even done anywhere near what I had already done..

Go Hokies..

Hokie hurler Joe Saunders continues to get the job done for the LA Angels. He's 3-0 with a 2.15 ERA.

• Ranks 1st in AL in WPct (1.000)
• Ranks 2nd in AL in W (3)
• Ranks 4th in AL in WHIP (0.89)
• Ranks 5th in AL in IP (29.1)
• Ranks 6th in AL in ERA (2.15)

His next game will test his mettle. If things stay as is, he'll be pitching against the Red Sox in Fenway next Thursday.
