Bush is booed every time he goes into public where the audience is not screened. There is no respect left for the man.

I doubt this is true; however, even if it is, it doesn't matter. Competent presidents don't respond to the politics of the day.

Strangely, Richard Nixon was the best behaved ex-presidents as far as not capitalizing in on the office. He did take his Presidential pension but unlike Clinton, never took a dollar for a speech. In 1985 he gave up his secret service protection costing the taxpayer $4 million a year and hired his own security.

Despite making 109 million in the last 7 years, Clinton still takes his $191k in pension and secrect service protection. Some pretty shady ties to Dubai too.
