OK. I understand what you are saying. Hillary "always" had a safety net and therefore she is "silver spoon" material even though she worked hard and accomplished much. As for Obama, can we say that he had a kind of safety net inasmuch he probably had his way paid all the way through school--I mean his family wasn't picking up Columbia undergrad or Harvard Law, right? And then he got right in with a high profile Chicago firm, right? His family didn't have wealth, but on the other hand a lot of doors opened for him (presumably because he was brainy person of color). (I am not putting Obama down for this--you still have to be able to run with the ball when it is handed to you and Obama did run well.) So I mean I don't know how much "common man" stuff he has in him. I mean he wasn't working while going to school like you & me, right?
