Good points. However, politics and this country are like a pendulum. The trick is to keep the pendulum swinging very slowly and not to far to the right or to the left. When administrations like this come to power, they essentially swing the pendulum very far to one direction and all sorts of excesses occur, that then have to be corrected. So I hate to say this, but we're about to see a more liberal government come in to correct those mistakes and the process will be painful. Hopefully, Obama can steer a course to the middle and not over-correct to the left. I know many believe that Obama is a far left liberal, but that is not my sense on the biggest issues of the day. On energy independence, Iraq, and fiscal responsibility, he's right on the mark and dead center. Those are the things I care about.
