check out how he handled his discussions at the iraq hearings today. Obama is extremely shrewd.

I watched him and thought he did very well. His questions, however, were carefully constructed to leave him squarely in the middle of the road.

I've not said, however, that he isn't shrewd, isn't a great speaker, or really much else -- other than to say he has no track record that would warrant putting him the highest office in the land.

And there is plenty to be concerned about. His relationship with this hate-speech minister, his rather obvious lies about it, the fact that he is the most liberal member of the Senate (and didn't even bother to vote on the issues he thought might be controversial), and the lack of any meaningful track record all should disqualify him.

The Dems have a real problem, IMO, in that both the people they're running lack experience and are proven liars, plus they both have a ton of baggage to deal with.
