Ignoring spending was wise after 9/11 but 2003 is the year it all went crazy. And i will never forgive bush/cheney for this. They sought to reproduce in iraq what reagan did with ruskys. And they were ignorant of the middle east and what borrow and spend damages would be. Obama if elected must be patient and prudent and not turn his presidency into an exercise in class warfare. Rich folks didnt f**k things up, it was a ruling clique in DC that did. If you go after the rich you will stifle growth when you need it most.

Oral, great post. It deserves a repeat here:

The far and away biggest disappointment of the Bush years is his first two when they controlled it all. Instead of proving that they were fiscally responsible and bring the budget under control and overhaul SSI they proved that they are big government spending pigs just like every other politician.

You captured exactly how I feel and why I refuse to vote for McSame.
