I think the debate should be less about tax policy in general, but more about what are the tax policies and proposals of the candidates?

This is not at all boring to me. IMHO, if one follows how candidates propose to pay for their programs one can tell if they are serious about a program or just whistling in the wind and throwing their followers some political bones.
