The results below are indicative of the failing of your ideology's supply side, trickle down, voodoo economics.....its all ca ca btw. By almost any metric, your cohort has made a huge mess of things in this country. In the last ten years, we have been the 1990s Japan of the world, lagging nearly every major nation...first world or emerging......and in nearly every significant economic metric. I don't think there has even been a period in this country where incompetence has ruled for so long. Enough said. Moving to other topics........your posts have always invoked a strange, sick reaction within me.......a reaction that seemed familiar but I have never been able to determine where I had experienced such a reaction previously. This morning I remembered......talking to you is like talking to my grandmother. She was completely out of it and made little sense but she was so sure she was right....and in fact, had an air of superiority about her. In other words, she was crazier than a loon. Hence my weird reaction to her. That's you in a nutshell. No one else on this thread invokes that kind of reaction from me........just you in all your strangeness. And I really have no sympathy for you......you are smart enough to have known better but instead chose this ridiculous path that you are on and that makes you crazier by the moment. That's why I worry about your son....your influence must have been very heavy on him. There is probably not much that can be done for him but what the rest of us have to do is isolate people like yourself so that you have no further influence on the running of this country. Put you all in the same pasture with Cheney, Bush, Wolfie etc and keep you there.....always keeping a strong eye on you. And now for the results of your voodoo economics: If you invested $1000 in the Russell 1000 Growth on January 1, 1999, your investment is now worth a whopping $947. This is a return of -0.61% a year. Nearly a decade of ecstasy and despair, and you've made zip in large cap growth stocks. AND...this analysis is favorable, since the starting point is before the huge 1999-early 2000 run up! Meanwhile, investors in my large cap growth product have doubled their money. I say that not to flog my fund, but to put it in the face of the EMT adherents like Bogle who think all investors should simply be indexing. Indexing got you nowhere in this asset class. Any reasonably skilled active manager, such as any of the fine contributors on this site, can add real value to your portfolio.
