I thought so. It might surprise you to know that mothers and fathers make medical diagnoses all day every day. They have very limited medical training. If it looks serious enough they go to a specialist, one of the medical guild members, who also take a look. If it looks serious enough or is not in their realm of knowledge, they suggest the person go to somebody who knows. My wife and I have twice more correctly diagnosed skin lesions than medical guild members. One was a melanoma which we both said should come off by knife. The first general purpose doctor referred us to the skin specialist of great experience and years of knowledge who told us we could leave it and keep an eye on it. We insisted that that was NOT the right option. Sure enough, it was melanoma requiring a subsequent visit to hospital and a big hunk of flesh being removed. Gary Beale was likewise told to "keep an eye on" a melanoma, which then killed him at age 42. They go metastatic as you no doubt know. I had a skin specialist treat me for a skin lesion and in giving cursory examination of the rest of me, he was unconcerned about the little thing I was keeping an eye on. A subsequent doctor also said it was nothing to worry about when I was there for something else and asked him about it. The third doctor also said keep an eye on it. I said I would really like to have it off because it had a tiny patch of red and didn't look stable enough for my liking. He cut it off and was surprised to find it was a squamous cell cancer. Both my wife's and my cancers were very early stage of course, so not surprisingly, we are alive to tell the tale. Gary Beale isn't. I have quite a list of such medical misadventure, and that list is just direct experience of mine, where doctors were declaring one thing and I thought something else. For example, I was more of an expert than doctors in non-hodgkins lymphoma of one specific type. You can read about it in Silicon Investor. You can follow upstream from here: Message 24119968 Our son is not dead, thanks to good luck, NOT good medical management. I would have done a better job. He was, of course, as the first medical mismanagement by the cartel, told to keep an eye on it after fine needle aspiration biopsy didn't give an answer. We said no way Jose, that lump is coming out. It was, again, very fortunately, very early stage cancer. I see you have the ignorant arrogance of the cartel <Come on, big boy, strut your stuff. > So, just how did you earn your living? Lets see you answer a simple question. I see a medical bent in your profile, but you hide as much as you can for some reason. Embarrassed about something, or got something to hide? Come on big boy, strut your stuff. One simple question. Mqurice
