Alternative to money markets:

Last summer I started keeping my cash in my current account in FXF, the swiss Franc ETF. What are others doing. It pays a very Swiss 1.25%. But it has a gain of about 19%. I do not do bond funds in my taxable accounts, anyone doing something clever? MP

That's the way. The Italians replace the celery in Mirepoix with tomatoes which I believe is called Sotto Fritto.

Some add other aromatics like leeks, garlic, shallots, parsnips, peppers, or mushrooms - all need to be sautéed or roasted.

The Chinese style adds ginger as an aromatic.

More for The Epic Chicken Stock and Bond Bubble Lab:

Cut the bird into pieces, salt and pepper, and sauté hot until brown in a skillet with olive oil, a little butter and onions. When all are caramelized drain and put in the stock pot with your favorite veggies.

Do the same with lamb neck meat for lamb stock for lamb onion soup.
