It's not that she had to do two grades that she couldn't endure. It was having two classes full of incorrigibles.

It's no longer like it was, where at home you got double the punishment you got for you stunts at school,

I posted the Newbury Award Winner list on the refrigerator when my kids were 3 and 5 and updated it every year. They read at least half the list every year. Or I read them to them.

I get them a book for them every Christmas. Last year I got them two.......Atlas Shrugged and Lone Survivor.
