I believe you read too much into it. Elroy less smart? I only related that to his current position in the contest as compared to yours. And in our contest only. Don't try to read out anything universal from between my lines, that certainly never was my intention. As for the "American double entendre", maybe you could explain yourself, in clear English - or French - , whatever fits the expression and situation best.
