Tim; Also the clear fact that management has done a lousy job doesn't mean that the union contracts aren't also a problem Nope I never said that - I agree with you on this. but designing a lot of SUVs wasn't an example of it. They where a very profitable segment for a long time They were profitable, but by spending all their effort here and not having the vision to see high oil prices coming and working on hybrid design put them years behind Japan on that front. It is easy to see what people are buying today - not so easy to have vision to see the road ahead. That though is managements job. steve
