Made in China is cheaper than ever in New Zealand. I guess the surplus from the impoverished USA has landed here. My shed is filling, even though people "borrow" my things and don't return them.

The main cost involved with Made in China is the cost of somewhere to store it here.

Meanwhile, in NZ, the carry trade from Japan must be going belly up as NZ house prices sink and swarms of houses are listed for sale. But interest rates remain high here [high compared with 0% in Japan and 1% in the USA, but not high when measured with after tax and after inflation returns].
