GMO has relatively little to do with Monsanto anymore.

The #2 creator of CMOs is now Chinese firms - and moving up fast. Same dynamic is happening elsewhere in the world. Farmers are desperate for greater production and so GMO acreage is soaring.

In India, farmers have been stealing GMO seed and planting it, without government approval. They're not interested in anti-GMO messages. They're just trying to make a living.

In short, this genie is already way out of the bottle. You could close down Monsanto tomorrow and it would little difference.
