I found you could go into a sharp curve at 75mph and accelerate through and out of it, while the car sticks to the road like glue. That is a different level of engineering from the mid-rank cars.

No question. Like I said, I can tell the difference. The question is, like my painting, whether you get that much value out of it. Yes, the painting would be strictly for my enjoyment. Trying to put a price tag on self-indulgence is a bitch. I don't even have an empty space on the wall I need to fill. There's already a nice oil where I would put this one, for which I paid a few hundred a few decades ago. The only place I can think of to hit a curve at 75 and then accelerate is turning north on 395 from the outside loop of the beltway. I might be tempted if I had a car I was confident could do it. Now, I slow down. There's usually too much congestion there, anyway. I don't feel deprived. <g>

Your prints and my Accord are compromises. Probably smart ones.

OT slow news day
Dale as for It's all subjective
I disagree
There are great masterpieces that are objectively transcendent such as this one

On first blush it might even look ugly but Jackson Pollock unlocked Nature's deepest secrets with that one.
To me the essence of Great Art is about interpreting Nature not the hubris of displaying great craftmanship or personal propaganda.

lane3, I vote for the photo print as well !
