Lane3;

Now, just what is the impact of that MLNM acquisition on the trade deficit?

Granted I wandered off into lala land and was trying to sum up my comments so the issue would go away.

However the MLNM purchase this morning is symbolic of the trade issue problem - isn't it? Yesterday the profits from MLNM belonged to America. If a Japanese bought Velcade (sp?), that money flowed from Japan to America. Today (assuming the deal was closed of which of course it is not) when an American buys Velcade, that money goes from America to Japan.
