"Really, who were they and how did they do?"

I don't know. I only followed two, Van Taylor and Tammy Duckworth. Van, because he was running in my district and Tammy because I was interested to see how someone who got as injured as she did, lost both legs and mangled her arm when a RPG hit the chopper she was flying, would do.

Poor Van had a tough row to hoe. Not only was he running as a Republican against an incumbent Democrat in an election where no Republican won in that type of match up. Chet was also pretty popular in his district, despite the attempts of the Republicans to redistrict him out. Chet ran on his record and only acknowledged Van's existence to praise his service and during the debate. Before the redistricting, Chet had Fort Hood and had quite a record as pro-military. So no real surprise.

Tammy's campaign went a little different. The NRCC put their full weight behind Rokam. They questioned her patriotism and lied about her stance on the issues. He even questioned her sanity. It was repellent.
