They wouldn't try to ridicule and tear down the religious faith that nourishes the values that lead to success in life for the poor. When did religious life lead to success for the poor? Please explain. Traditional religions teach values and morals that keep people out of trouble and lead to success. A few of the troubles religous values will keep one out of are: unwed pregnacy - the primary cause of child poverty in the US. drug use and alcoholism and the problems that stem from it STD's involvement in crime leading to imprisonment and criminal records adultery and the marital breakups it leads to. Religions also promote positive virtues like honesty and diligence which promote success. Now you can say but religious people don't perfectly live their values. True. But they do to some extent and to the extent they do, they keep people out of trouble and lead to success.
