This company has been living on a shoestring for a long time. The "going concern" statement is not unexpected. I'm taking the gamble (a pretty big one for me) that the glass is at least half-full and they will achieve their short-term goals. A successful prototype will lead to a partnership to commercialize the modulator. An optical transistor will bring another partnership for optical computing, etc. We should know about the first big step in a few weeks.

Standard language for any little company that doesn't have cash in the bank.
