But, tax cuts cure EVERTHING! They make the lame walk and the blind see. Inflation, deflation, surplus, deficit - it doesn't matter! Tax cuts are the ANSWER!

We're fighting TWO WARS right now and all Bush talks about is EXTENDING the current tax cuts.

Of course. Tax cuts are always a good thing. I would never oppose ANY tax cut, whenever it happens and under any circumstances. There is no reason to give Congress more money to flit away.

THAT'S total BS.. The President has a VETO pen and a BULLY PULPIT and the Congress can't escape either one.

Bush should have vetoed some of the spending, and should have made noise about it. But ultimately, ALL spending is the fault of Congress.

The totally unnecessary TAX CUTS (which McCain opposed) have a LOT to do with this "borrow and spend" crap we've been going through the last 7 years.

Honestly, I just don't think it is a big deal. Years ago, when I was in college, the national debt bothered me. I've come to realize it isn't as big a problem as we thought it was then. My late economics professor, "Curly" was right -- it just doesn't matter. You hear all the talk about it, forget it.

I'm a lot more concerned about trade deficits, myself.
