Patriotism is like the love of family members for one another.

Patriotism is a lesser version of nationalism which led to Hitler's Germany.

I'm reminded of that parable by Evan Sayet. He told a story of an imaginary friend who went around saying I hate my wife all the time. Of course, Sayet didn't believe it, laughed it off, he's just saying that, blah blah. But then sitting in a restaurant together, they see the wife outside being attacked and he says hey, look, let's go help her out ... and the friend says ah, she probably deserves it. Then he realized, gee, he really does hate his wife. This is an illustration of how some folks reacted to 911 of course.

I find it interesting that the biggest laugh and applause he gets on the first youtube clip is when he says the anti war movies are bombing. So then, you guys really do like going to war. Why?
