Has any major financial house ever before recommended a short sale? I would think that could set off a lawsuit if someone gets wiped out on a few points reversal. I suppose one has to read the warnings included with the recommendation.

If I was to wager a trillion dollars of my own money, I'd say that GS shorted WaMu a long time ago, and they'd love to transfer the contents of their shorts to the sheeple.
