Perhaps because you had the luxury of not really needing it?...I dunno, Obama cannot change the culture and traditions of an old city..it's legal, it's part of what makes Philly, Philly...he needs their votes..the people he's dissing are people that genuinely could use the cash..I have no problems with it as a contributor to his coffers..but I respect others differing since I've never been a grass roots politician.

Edit: if he were a financially struggling insurgent, I'd think differently.

I think it is a very tricky situation for the Obama campaign. But given their background in community organization and mobilization, I am sure they will figure something out while at the same time not appearing to buy votes.
