I saw the first one. Sure, no military, but a positive view of America and Americana.

Brumar, you don't think I feel something when my country does something positive?? Of course I do. Its why I get angry when it does something stupid. We're supposed to be better than that.

The biggest joke is when I went with my friends to see the movie, Independence Day. When they were doing the morse code, and the Brits said what are the Americans saying; do they have a plan.....and of course, we did. Such a stupid moment in a stupid scifi film but I knew that if such a moment were to happen in the real world, the world would look to us for a solution. And then when the guy who was the star....I can't remember his name.......said that July 4th would no longer be America's independence day but the world's independence day, I had to suck it in so my friends wouldn't see me bawl. Even then, they knew the movie had fukked with my head.

So just because the people on this thread who you call liberal don't agree with your version of America does not mean they don't love this country as fervently as you do. Wanting your country to aspire to be better does not mean you hate it.
