We shouldn't let Muslims get by with it.

The only prosecution of it here will be a flagrant case that is so "in the face" that the DA can't ignore it. Our Gov is really pussyfooting around Muslims on all issues today.

I doubt anyone in the Texas sect will be charged with polygamy. The state will hit them with stuff like child abuse, rape, incest, kidnapping, welfare fraud, and tax evasion.

Likewise, Muslims in the US may not be charged with polygamy, but do face these other types of related offenses. Usually it's an individual case so it doesn't make the national news, but every now and then a Muslim "honor killing" makes a big news splash in the US. The problem is much greater in Europe, with some serious efforts underway to tackle the honor killing problem.
