i had one two years ago hit my window hard. i went down and picked it up using a large spoon so not to touch it. then laid it down on the pad under my deck on top of wood pile. it was alive but not able to move. i put it high enough so no animals would see it. i felt bad it coming from my neighbors house where it had a great feed on his cedar before he put up the strips. i figure if he saw me saving the thing he would shoot me.. g

i can chase them away from one side of the house and then show up again on the other side. not in recent years,, lately they prefer the back side of house and i just bang on wall as wife is in the bedroom there 100% of the time. A few years ago they loved the finish strip of cedar at the corners of the house. all four to eight corners were ripped apart. i fill them in wood putty and stain over them.

pretty bird but they can do a lot of damage. some of homes in this area have dozens of holes in them.
