i got tried of going out to scare woodpecker away,, so i just bang on wall where ever i hear them.. it works. boy have i saved myself running up and down steps.. live in raised ranch.

a couple times i got banging in another bedroom. i banged on wall yesterday and a blue jay flies onto window ledge to let me know it didn't appreciate the interruption. now it dawns on me the thing was pecking at the gutters. g

MM, how about hanging a big windchime near where the woodpecker wants to call his own.... You'd get some enjoyment from the chimes, and the woodpecker would get a massive headache....<gg>
