I really do think there's something to the negative/positive outlook difference. I read last week that Obama was touting his patriotism - he loves America because of the power it gives the individual to challenge and change the society to right injustice.

Well, that's a stereotypical viewpoint difference. Liberals seem to love America not for what it is, but what they can see themselves shaping it into. "Land of opportunity" has a whole different meaning in that context.

God they must corner the market on Pepto-Bismol, chugging down bottle after bottle as they find even more things to criticize and complain about. I think it's another reason that many of them are so damned ugly. Not only on the inside - where it really counts - but on the outside as well.
