Yep. And that is good for us.

At the same time, we offered to pay them if they would join with us. I don't share the same confidence with a paid ally as you do.

You must be referring to the reconstruction spending or maybe the "sons of Iraq" the young men are joining. We may well be bankrolling. Whatever, nothing wrong with supporting your allies. If they are fighting AQ in Iraq, they are okay with me.
