Anything is possible.

But I fear that (in the true spirit of Democracy and Nationalism), *no* 'solution' imposed from without, imposed by foreigners, will suffice.

The locals will have to fight and scrap to reach their own workable accommodations... before a long-term peace is possible.

That is one of the two main possibilities that I foresee (a relatively weak central government in Baghdad, under which significant power is pushed out to the regions to manage their own affairs, with the central government mainly their for foreign relations).

The other is actual independence for 'Shia Iraq', for 'Kurdistan', and perhaps the Sunni region affiliating once again (as it previously was) into 'Trans-Jordan' or Arabia....
