Wayne, Hitler calling himself a socialist was like East Germany calling itself The German Democratic Republic during The Cold War. No relation to reality. His expansion of government was totally expansion of the executive branch, which was Hitler. Very similar in concept, though not in degree, to Dumbya's expansion of the powers of the executive branch at the expense of the legislative and judicial branches. The Bush Doctrine tolerates those other branches as long as they remain docile and easily controlled. And right wingers approve of Bush's usurpation of power.
