When I was talking about a "real" job, I was talking about a job where you take home a paycheck after busting your butt for 8-10 hours doing something that offers nothing redeeming other than a paycheck.

I don't mean to imply that being a CPA or developing software companies isn't a real job.

I made a few bucks trading stocks last year and most of it was made in trading "Canadian" stocks. TRA86 saved me a BUNDLE, but I'm not sure how it helped with "capital formation" unless the goal of the legislation was to help in the formation of capital for Canadian Companies.

I can understand how lower LTCG taxes might help the U.S. if those lower rates were only available for investments in U.S. properties or entities, but otherwise I don't see how they helped anybody but US rich folks.
