The thing that struck me during the 6 years I lived in DC is the entire time I didn't meet anyone among my peers who fished for bass, even though there is very good bass fishing in the Potomac. There was good catfish fishing too (I caught an 18 pounder once). Usually on the river it was me, a bunch of rednecks and a few black people.
