American pragmatism side effect in food. America gave the world a lot of good stuff. Many result of the pragmatism and ingenuity.

But that same ingenuity and pragmatism did harm. Look to the damage America social changes exported to other countries did.

During the war women started going to work and even as war finished they stayed in the industry instead of going back to the kitchen.

Further damage was done as salaried women got assertive and fought for changes in society. Young women no longer saw cooking as a honorable work. But menial and degrading.

The market started being supplied by processed food. Canned food and frozen food. Now it is too late to revert the damage done.

I'm skinny and lose weight very easy. mainly when I change from one country to another to adapt to the new food.

I eat my wife's food for two weeks my weight goes up immediately. That because she can cook what I eat more. It is very hard to feed skinny people. Fat people eat whatever one thrown at them. Skinny people is a different story: They are very choosy. You got to cook well for them!

Luckily Brazil is a heaven for food. We don't like processed food labor is cheap, there is plenty of variety many immigrants from various nationalities makes for a country with good food.

The country stretches North to South and can grow things year around. Paradise for the stomach!!
