Frequently the sound equipment is set up horribly, which limits musicians as well.

I always found live music to be very boring except for a few bands. The Ramones were great. Johnny Quest, a cover band in NC, was always a bunch of fun.

What do you think the odds are of the market going down significantly next week? I need to hedge and it makes a difference. I think we flatten than bounce a bit, but what do I know?

OT: That's not a one off you were getting on REM. I used to hang with Stipe quite a bit just before they came out with Document (we both had an affinity for Southern Outsider art)...saw many concerts at the 40 Watt and shortly after at the Fox in Atlanta and other SE venues. Buck knows how to arrange for live shows and frequently set up the Sound himself at the show, the dood is obsessive.

I remember seeing J Geils at the Toledo Sports Arena in the early 80's...they sounded all right, but maybe it was the haze of smoke acting as an acoustical damper, lol.
