In Brazil criminality is rampant and it is shown. That because there is real oppostion to the parties that are in power. Compare where there have been coalitions for half a century. There's no incentive to show criminality rampant. Nor the two-party countries which also protect each other.

If you see Al Jazeera you see the cops running over black people in South (or was it north?) Carolina.

You see raw poverty and decline shown. This is sanitized in the US. Just to keep the people ignorant of what is going on.

Hey, the Yakuza didn't hamper Japan's progress nor the Cosa Nostra did not derailed the US.

This governemnt boosted so much the budget of the Federal Police (the FBI there) that they are getting afraid!

They are going after everyone who commits crime!
