When was the last time Hillary or McCain didn't have a staff of dozens or hundreds of people around to serve their every need?

That's true of all politicians from big city mayors on up. So that would mean that no high level politician could ever represent the downtrodden.

More than the unpleasant (if accurate) analysis by itself, I think being perceived as an elitist will hurt Obama. To me it felt like a blunder - it'll be curious to see its effect on the National & PA polls
