Yes the gold chart does look like it has likely downside to 800 where it has a strong support. My suspicion is we will go into a long consolidation from 800 to 930 or so for ~9 months-year or so; actually even if it does not break down to 800 I think we consolidate for a while before next move becomes apparent; I think the competitiveness in competitive devaluation is going down (some foreign govts not cutting interest rates any more or as much and/or some of them may actually heed to morale hazard of inflationary policies) and many external factors will decide the next move in gold; once could hope that new admin may change some of the current policies. Regardless asset values seem headed down reverting to their mean values ... Shorting gold may still be risky unless you hedge it appropos

hello zim, <<Shorting more gold....chart is toast:

stockcharts.com >>

... yes, the chart you posted was toast, as divine intervention negates and toasts your read of that chart at the juncture you posted.

<<A final kiss goodbye at the 50 day and a beautiful head and shoulders to boot>>

... dramatic, please make sure your shoulder properly says bye bye to your head, before it gets booted.

<<Will cover at $800>>

... love the precision ... so you intend to cover at 800, and in the mean nasty time maintain unyieldingly short position against your physical longs?

(i) what was the point of the exercise again? long interest-free physical gold, and short yield-free paper gold, just to occupy your capital fruitlessly in a matter-anti-matter device where the Force is not only denied, but negated, for the long term long-short hold?

(ii) you may have gotten your script wrong ... as in something might be amiss, ill considered, or not thought clearly through at all.

(iii) how is rrgb Message 24488153 rrgb finance.yahoo.com short coming along? ah, not brilliantly, as it is difficult to count on consumer demise since going bankrupt helps their cash flow, as well as heightens their urge to console self with juicy super-size-me burgers

drama, mystery, thriller, conviction, and head saying good bye to shoulders ... soooo much fun :0)

i figured i best get my fun in before the tide reverses, and enjoy to the hilt before having to abscond

i am a big believe in not kicking a dog wet from a plunge in the lake, but a downed know-it-all is not a dog

chugs, tj

p.s. made no moves this way or that, as i was and am happy with stance, order of battle, deployment, and am happy to simply observe, reflect, listen, ruminate, sense, and guess
