Forklifts are such fun to drive. They became like part of my body. Excavators are like that too, but without the mobility factor. Road sweepers too [that work with asphalt teams].

I only had one mistake = lowering a load and nicking some cement bags on a pallet behind the one I was lowering!!

It was great fun, speeding along, dropping the forks, and angling them forwards just so, then spinning around a corner into the pallet then raising and pulling back and reversing ... zip, zip zip ... Then again, any machine is fun to drive. Sliding a canal long-boat into a lock just perfectly, and maneuvering them along the canals is fun. Flying little Cessnas on visual flight rules was fun too but I haven't done enough of it to be automatic - I was still at the steep learning curve stage [both landing and taking off, as well as steep turns], when I gave it away.
