Combine the US strategic overstretch and military exhaustion with a clear examination of the economic area behind the Imperial forward advance that supplies the military advance economically. What is clearly to be observed now is that the rear area, the US economy, is failing. It is in a recession and diving deeper fast. This creates a real backwards pull in military terms because a contracting economy is having to sustain the forward advance.
