>>What may Alaska and its timber be worth?<<

Most Alaska timber is slow-growing and not worth much. But Alaska does have vast mineral and energy resources.

Hi West.

((USA can always sell Yosemite))

Speaking of which, I'm actually spending a week in Yosemite National Park later this month. I've never been, so I'm really looking forward to it. Going to hang out at Berkly for a couple days, and stay with my brother, who's a Buddhist monk who's spent the last 15 year's in Thailand, at a Buddhist monetary just outside of San Francisco. Really looking forward to it.

And, if I really like Yosemite, I'm thinking of taking it back with me to Canada. The Canadian prairies are a bit lacking in beautiful landscapes, so I think it would be a swell addition.

((... the White House ... Can you say, America will burn.....they will torch it all! The French torched much when they hung their king.))

Been there done that. The Canadians - you know don't you that we're renowned for our world class military ;-) - already burnt the White House down once.

If the Habs get beat in the Stanley Cup playoffs, I SWEAR we'll do it again. Heck, if a passenger airliner can fly into the Pentagon, I don't see how difficult it can be do burn down a little 'ol White house.

((There is much to ponder and wonder about as we head slowly into the depths of bankruptcy! ... Me thinks it is going to get very, very ugly.))

Tis true.

BTW, one of my favorites from the Three Dead Trolls comedy troupe who did the above War of 1812 piece:

Funny.
