Bob, it IS a complex issue and both sides should quit playing games for short-term political gains. ( wishful thinking, I know) The warming trend is undeniable. The jury is still out whether the trend can be pinned on any one cause. There is plenty of reason to believe that the emissions and deforestation are definitely not helping. We need to start with modest, sensible proposals that are practical & make sense. I don't care much for the hysteria on the democratic side either as they hinder real progress on this issue but the republicans need to compromise as well and put some prudent steps in place. If we ignore the danger and continue on our merry way, non-linear systems won't give you definitive warning before spiralling into chaos
