These are the toughest of times for dog owners. One of the worst days of my life was the day I had to lift "Mister" off the grass, in the pouring rain, and take him to the vet to be put down. He was ready, but I sure wasn't. Now that I think of that, it was nearly 30 years ago. Do you know I still occasionally dream of that dog. In my dream I can feel him and even smell him. They do make an imprint on you.
