Then why doesn't the Fed buy directly from DB? Plus, I think the Fed is the US Fed, while DB is a Germany bank. So why would the Fed use the US tax payers' money to save a foreign bank?

But OTOH, foreign banks paid a lot for the US sub-prime scam and its housing loan scam. So it is fair if the US Fed and tax payers send foreign banks some money.
