the person has as much standing as ever as a person. Of course he does. But his position doesn't. would i let them make policy based on that notion? no. Exactly. so do they get a seat at the policy table? no. are they dismissed in a personal way or called names? no. So, when they come to you demanding a seat at the table, how do you tell them no? I wouldn't call them loony to their faces. But that's still the bottom line of the message, isn't it? The label isn't used as an insult, it's just shorthand.
