I see during May there is a "coaltrans Brazil" in Rio. Then during June a "coaltrans Asia" in Bali. We have big conferences like that here in Alaska too: energy, mining, commercial fishing, polar bear management, etc.

The global conference industry is huge. Airlines, hotels, car rentals, restaurants, bars etc all depend on it. So what happens when oil hits $400/barrel and people can no longer afford to fly around the world on these junkets? I expect that rising energy prices will force much of this business networking away from "bricks and mortar" and into the realm of cyberspace.
